A lil Taste of Fall Festival Inventory

"Kustom Quilts by Kaarin"

 Kaarin Smith of " Kustom Quilts by Kaarin" creates BEAUTIFUL custom quilts of original designs and patterns.

 Although Kaarin's been sewing for as long as she can remember,  it's hard to believe that "quilting" is something she took up just  3 years ago.

" I love quilting...it's a lot like music for me. I am able to express how I feel and it comes out in my work."

 " I like having the ability to have a choice when I make quilts. It's all up to interpretation of it ...you can pick and choose whatever you want and put it however you want"... Kaarin goes on to say... "There's something about taking material, cutting it up...and making it greater!"

Thus far, her very favorite quilt she created is the absolutely gorgeous "Kimono Quilt"

Kaarin created the "Kimono" pattern all on her own....its one-hundred percent Kaarin's own personal design....from the strategic fabric choices to the beautiful kimono patch-work center.

" The 'Kimono Quilt' is my fav because I was able to make my own pattern, and the person I was making it for is a really good friend!....I was also able to prove to myself that I could do something great...and it would look perfect!"

 Iv'e had the pleasure of seeing and photographing Kaarin's work in person...."WOWZA!'...lol

Absolutely stunning work...the detail in some of it, is just beyond me.

She really enjoys doing custom work and creating her own patterns and designs for cliental...

"It's the best thing seeing the person's reaction when they recieve it....a piece of you becomes a part of them"...

Wild Child Designs

 Amanda Borges-Severns of "Wild Child Designs" creates beautiful Fine Costume Jewelry and Hair Accessories of original design and bead-work.

 Amanda's been making jewelry since she was little. Shes says "...around the age of 4th or 5th grade, my mom sat down and taught me basic bead-work". ...and from there has developed her own styles and works of glamorous costume jewelry:

necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings....and much much more!

 Amanda's love of creating Hair Accessories is a more recent happening of  about 2008. She jumped on the band-wagon of hair bow making before it got to be the monstrosity it is today.

Amanda says " I started making my own hair accessories because buying them just cost too darn much!"

BLS Designs

 Brenda Lee Schroeder of "BLS Designs"  will also have a few items available for purchase at my booth at Atwater Fall Festival 2011.

Working with plastic canvas and yarn , Brenda creates custom coasters, bookmarks, ornaments, cards  and more...

Brenda's been working with plastic canvas for over 30 years!

"...As a young bride....I got so bored. So, my husband took me out to the craft store and said ...'Here...pick somethin!' I've been doing it ever since"

In fact, I actually remember having recieved some custom Barbie furniture as a 10 year old Birthday gift that my mother had Brenda make for me...it was the coolest thing!

( I am now 29)

Brenda's daughter , Jessica, also has the crafty-gene...

Jessica crochets beautiful custom hotpads and dish clothes .

Showing interest, after a friend taught Jes how to basic crochet, she learned a little more from her Grandmother who has been chrocheting for years.

Although she's only been chrocheting for such a short period of time, Jessica offers quality items at affordable prices...and will have a few items available for purchase at the Fall Fest as well.
